Judith Holt – With over twelve years experience in design, principal Judith Holt brings a vast depth of experience, energy and creativity to every client relationship and each project she manages. Her portfolio includes hundreds of residential projects where has worked with homeowners on projects of all sizes and scale, as well as commercial projects such as the offices of Chubb Insurance, the Wellesley Free Library, and a private pied-à-terre hotel on Beacon Hill in Boston, MA.
Judith’s previous work includes collaboration with Sue Kwasnick at Interior Visions, a Boston-metro design firm, serving on numerous high-end projects.
Judith has shared her expertise with the community, serving on the Andover, MA Design Review Board where she wrote the ‘green’ design standards for the town. She also designed the Korean War Memorial monument, which resides in the town’s center. Judith is a volunteer with Massachusetts Audubon and has worked with them to develop an climate change curricula for their camps, evaluated energy use at 58 of their wildlife sanctuaries and served on their 'Electric Vehicle Task Force’.
With deep experience and technical education in solar energy, Judith brings her clients a wealth of knowledge on sustainable design. She is an energy auditor and worked on Capitol Hill on energy education related projects. She wrote national standards for the installation of domestic hot water heaters for the Department of Energy She spoke before the US Senate on global resource issues with renowned inventor, designer and architect, R. Buckminster Fuller. She was appointed a Smithsonian Associate for her work in solar energy.
Judith has authored several articles on design and green building for newspapers north of Boston, and is the recipient of the New England Press Association award for Environmental Writing. Her work has been published in The Boston Globe as well as in Boston Design Magazine. |
